About Thanyia

Thanyia grew up in South London and grew up as an actress and dancer. She always had a love for comedy but her confidence to take to the stage to tell jokes came later in life. Being an actress and dancer, getting on stage was never the problem, getting on stage and being funny is another subject. Thanyia's'matter of fact' on stage persona coupled with her smiling face and instant likeablity ; in addition to her work rate (5-6 gigs a week) is the reason why she has a rapidly growing fan base. Thanyia is not afraid to talk about her past, present and future and embraces being 'naked' on stage. Sharing stories of her dancing days, jobs and children ; amongst many other things. Thanyia is used to hosting dance events and has done so for a number of years, she is an exprienced host and throughly enjoys it. She has been asked to guest MC many nights, including but not limited to, Comedy Bin, Laughter League, Happy Hooker, The Red Carpet, Gr8 Nights to name a few. Thanyia also took part in a comedy Panto, Scrooge : A Comics Version, with a host of comics and actors including Quincy, Tony Hendrix & Maureen Younger in addition to being named the Best Female Newcomer at the Black Comedy Awards (Dec 2013).
