As a musical comic I can be found singing my ditties, one-liners and occasionally even duets with unsuspecting audience members, in comedy or music clubs and festivals across the UK. I've written and performed several shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival – in 2008, 2010 and 2011 these have been musical comedy shows. Here's a review from 2010′s Matt Tiller's Awkward Situation and there's a load of video and stuff about 2005's show, Ladykiller. At the same time I've been developing comedy with Channel X North, the Manchester based comedy production company formed by Channel X, the makers of Shooting Stars, Reeves & Mortimer & Snuffbox among many other shows. I've managed to help get a few things off the ground, including BBC Two's Hebburn and we're going to be making another series this year. Before that I was a freelance producer/director working on all sorts of programmes – lots for Tiger Aspect Productions like a documentary series called Bailiffs for BBC One and loads of other good, bad and downright ugly television shows. And prior to that I was a journalist at the mighty Plymouth Sound Radio, possibly the finest commercial radio station in the land. It's my home town and I may write a song about the blind mindless violence that occurs there. And the lovely sea views. And the amazing but beleaguered football team, Plymouth Argyle. Many years ago there was a millionaire fella who shares my surname planning to buy the club. Sadly he's no relation and I cannot step in at this difficult time unless things take off rapidly.
