Alistair Barrie – The InternationAl.
Globe-trotting comedian Alistair Barrie previews his brand new show before taking it to The Melbourne Festival. Alistair’s last show was the critically acclaimed ‘No More Stage Three,’ about his wife’s treatment for breast cancer – which was nominated as one of the top 10 shows at The Edinburgh Festival, before going on a world tour, including sold out runs at Perth Fringeworld and London’s Soho Theatre. Alistair is delighted to be bringing his latest show to Hot Water, and even more delighted it’s not about cancer.
There have been some major developments in the world of Alistair since his last visit, but then there have also been some fairly major developments in the world itself. Are the two connected? Well, no, but watch as one of the UK’s leading topical comedians weaves the personal and political together to take a frank and funny look at international relations in the wake of Trump, Brexit, and the fact the ancient Chinese curse ‘May you live in interesting times’ wasn’t even made in China.
‘An honest, rich, rewarding delight…Barrie tickled the funny bone and warmed the heart.’ **** The West Australian
This is a completely free entry show but there is a optional bucket collection at the end to go towards the acts Edinburgh festival costs.
Not suitable for groups of 4 or more or Hens/Stags
