Kevin Ratcliffe is a Welsh former footballer best known for captaining Everton during their most successful era in the 1980s. A central defender with leadership and composure, Ratcliffe led Everton to two First Division titles, an FA Cup, and the European Cup Winners' Cup. His tough, no-nonsense defending made him a fan favorite at Goodison Park. Ratcliffe also earned 59 caps for the Wales national team, becoming one of the country's most respected players. After retiring from playing, he moved into management and punditry, continuing his involvement in football at various levels.
