The amazing Kevin Campbell is a former professional footballer, a security consultant, a media pundit, and an entrepreneur. Throughout his illustrious playing career he was a striker for the English top flight clubs Everton, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, and West Bromwich Albion. Away from football he co-owned a security company specialising in supplying bodyguards to celebrities and other wealthy customers whilst travelling abroad, he ran his own record label, 2 Wikid, and he worked as a football commentator for the Asia-based broadcaster Sony TEN.
Born and raised in London, Campbell began his playing career as a trainee with Arsenal, joining when he was 15 in 1985. He was a prolific striker while at their academy, scoring 59 goals in one season, and went on to make his first team debut in 1988. He briefly went on loan in 1989 to Leyton Orient and then Leicester City, before returning to the Arsenal first team. By the time he left the North London club, he had made 228 appearances for them, scoring 46 goals, and had helped them secure the First Division title in 1990-91. He was sold to Nottingham Forest for £2.5 million in 1995, and was with the Midlands side for three seasons, seeing them relegated once, but helping them to return to the top flight in 1998. He left Forest at the end of that season to join the Turkish side Trabzonspor. He was very popular with the fans but left the club after seven months following a racist incident. He returned to England going on loan at Everton before the move was made permanent in the summer of 1999. He went on to become the Merseyside club’s fourth highest Premier League scorer and also captained the side. He moved to West Brom in 2005, helping them avoid relegation that season. However, the following season saw the club relegated to the Championship and in May Campbell was released. He signed with Cardiff City on a free in August, leaving the club in May 2007 and retiring from football. On the international stage he earned four caps for the England U-21s and one for the England B, but holds the record of being the English player who has scored the most goals in the Premier League without earning a senior cap for his country.
